Hi, I’m Eko Martha Kusumah (known online as @atoskueko) — a part-time MT5 coder and trader from Indonesia. I build, test, and publish algorithmic trading tools at AlgoToolbox.

Who I am

I started trading in 2018, like most people, with too much leverage and not enough patience. [One honest sentence of backstory — what went wrong early, what clicked for you.] I’m based in Indonesia and I do this part-time — but I treat it seriously. These days I trade XAUUSD / EURUSD mostly with tools I’ve coded myself: indicators, Expert Advisors, and scripts in MQL5 for MT5, plus Pine Script for TradingView.

I got into coding for an unglamorous reason: I got tired of buying EAs that didn’t match their sales pages. Every product arrived with beautiful backtest screenshots and zero reproducible evidence. So I started building my own tools and testing everything myself — real tick data, honest spreads, walk-forward. That habit became AlgoToolbox, and this site is where I share the practical resources and lessons learned along the way.

What’s here splits into two categories. The ATB-series is my commercial line, sold and maintained on the MQL5 Market. Everything else is free: compiled builds you can download and test yourself, ports of open TradingView scripts (always credited to the original author), and reviews of MT4/MT5 tools I’ve actually run.

What AlgoToolbox is

A testing-first repository. Every product published here — free build, port, or review — ships with a real test session: backtest numbers, documented drawdown, and the failure cases, not just the winners.

What we publish:

  • Free compiled builds of our own tools — test them yourself before spending a cent
  • Ports of open-source TradingView scripts to MQL5, with attribution every time
  • Honest reviews of MT4/MT5 tools — including the ones that don’t survive testing

What we don’t do:

  • No signal selling
  • No managed accounts or “investment opportunities”
  • No hype, no “97% win rate,” no rented Lamborghinis

How we test

Every test session on this site documents the same things, so results stay comparable and reproducible:

  • Real tester runs in MetaTrader’s Strategy Tester — no spreadsheet simulations
  • Stated conditions: data mode (real ticks vs 1-minute OHLC), account type, deposit currency, leverage, and spread
  • Documented drawdown — equity curves shown in full, never cropped at the good part
  • Failure cases — where the strategy breaks, which conditions kill it, what the marketing doesn’t mention

Screenshots come from our own runs. When we quote a developer’s claim, it’s labelled as a claim. If a tool fails our tests, we publish that too — that’s the point of the site.

The ATB (AlgoToolBox) series is our line of MT5 Expert Advisors and indicators, sold and supported on the MQL5 Market — source for select free tools lives on GitHub.
